Phil & Kristin Hosking saw a need on the Sunshine
Coast for a narrow access machine
that could access backyards for landscaping and excavation
work, without having to remove gates off hinges or
worse still remove a complete panel of fencing.
After analyzing all the machinery available in the
mini/micro market, in particular the Dingo, Kanga
and various mini excavators, the purchase of the Boxer
mini skid steer loader was made. This was due to the
many advantages the Boxer had over all the opposition.
The Boxer mini skid steer loader has a variable track
widening system, 860mm/1105mm, the only mini skid
steer machine of its type that can do this. There
are only approximately fifteen of these mini skid
steer loaders in Australia, and only one on the Sunshine
Coast. These mini loaders have been tried and
tested, and are very popular in The U.S.A. With
the tracks retracted the machine is only 860 mm wide,
enabling the Boxer to enter through a standard 900mm
gateway to gain access into the customer's backyard,
while other machines are left out the front.
Once through the narrow access, the Boxer mini skid
steer loader's tracks can remain retracted, or expand
out to 1105mm, giving the mini loader increased stability.
Phil comes from the timber industry where he used
a much larger articulated loader to recover logs from
forests. Those skills have easily been adapted to
the earthmoving/landscaping industry.
